Installing Language Layer into Modified Databae

Are there any issues with installng the French language layer into a database that already contains modified objects? Other that the obvious that we would have to add the ML code to custom objects.

No there aren't any issue that I'm aware. I've done multiple times. You just have to write the translation for those modification manually, if they are new fields, or error messages.
