want to know how to track the keypress event F3

Dear friends,
i have made the contact card non editable when it is linked to a customer card. so when i select a contact who is linked with a customer, my contact card will be in non editable stage.now it will not allow me to reopen it to editable stage.In this situtation if i press F3 to insert a new record,it is not going to editable stage.F3 is not working.
please give me a solution.

You can for example create a new menu item under Functions with a shortcut (e.g. CTRL+F12) and when this is launched you create a new record yourself and then show it and enable the form again.

Thank you very very much..it is working.
Can i use F3 instead of Ctrl+F12.because my client is very particular in using the same key F3 every were for inserting new record.

If i use F3 will it give any problems in the future.here while creating a new record in contact card,i am creating only the number series and tagging it to the primary key and displaying it to the user in editable mode.
Do i need to tagge any thing else in the contact card.

It works the same as in the older versions. Look in the manual (w1w1ism.pdf or w1w1isql.pdf)
