data across companies

hi,

i want to calculate and consolidate balances for customers that exit across diff companies in the same database. the customer code is the same across all companies.

how to i get rid of the company filter. thanks

Use this property to tell the system whether or not the data in this table applies to all companies in the database or only to this company.

1)Applies to Tables
2)The DataPerCompany settings are: Yes/No
3)To make the data available...
-a)Only to this company (Yes) (default)
-b)To all companies in the database (No)

Typically, you will choose the default, Yes. However, there are some cases where you may want to make the data in this table available to all companies in the database. For example, in the standard application, the report list table (which contains a list of all the reports in the application) is marked No.

You can use the CHANGECOMPANY command. Basically, what you will need to do is:
1. Do a loop of the Company table
2. Do CHANGECOMPANY on the customer and GET the customer
3. Add up the balance
