Item Register w/No Associated Item Ledger Entry

Hi All,

Running 4.0 SP1 on SQL Server 2000

Not sure what is causes this to occur (Still testing it), but...

Looking at the Item Register and there are lines that show entires in the following fields:

No.,
Creation Date,
User ID,
Source Code,
From Value Entry No.,
and To Value Entry No.

It appears to happen mainly with SALES as the Source Code and a sporadic PURCHASE as the Code.

It is also with various users (with various permissions but not SUPER)

I am positive that the posting routines have NOT been modified.

Is this something common?

Has anyone else seen this?

Thank you in Advance, [-o<

Joe

Yes you are suppose to see those entries. It basically means that you posted an item journal that did not create any item ledgers. Which is the case when you just invoice a sales order. Or just invoice a PO.
All it does is that it creates the value entry of type sale for the item ledger. This change has been done after they have created the value entry table.

    Good.

ara3n, Thanks for the quick response. Inventory Valuation has been a problem so these entries were a concern.

    Question Answered, Problem Solved.

    Thanks again,
