NAV 2013 User Page Issue

muziclovermuziclover Member Posts: 65
We have a user who is unable to add columns or Ribbon options to his General Journal page. Here is what we have tried:

1. Restore Default Settings - Didn't work.
2. Deleted User Personalization (both on PC and within NAV) - Didn't work.
3. Verified Permissions
4. Asked user to remove all columns and add them back - Didn't work.

We are at a loss as this is the only user having this issue and we have tried everything we know.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

    Hey muziclover,

You can only add and remove those columns from the front end which have been added in that respective page from the development end. If developer has not added in the page then you wont be able to add so from choose column option in the page.

You can press ctrl + alt + F1 then open Table fields, here you can view all the fields available in the Table.

My apologies as I probably didn't explain this clearly.

The issue is that the fields are there, but he cannot add them to his page. When he clicks "Choose Column", a number of columns are displayed on the right side. When he views his General Journal page, none of them are there.

In addition, he cannot customize his Ribbon (same problem). The actions are all "available". He can even add them. But when he clicks "OK", nothing updates.

This appears to be a problem with the page and it's isolated to just this user.

As mentioned, here is what we tried:

    1. Restore Default Settings - Didn't work.
    2. Deleted User Personalization (both on PC and within NAV) - Didn't work.
    3. Verified Permissions
    4. Asked user to remove all columns and add them back - Didn't work.

His profile is "Accounting Manager" which is active. Others who share the same profile aren't having the issue, so we can only conclude it's his settings on this particular page.

Other than Delete User Personalization (User Metadata) and the PC file, are there any other settings/files that we can check?

    This one has us stumped.

Update: After clearing all the personalization and PC xml ("zup") files, we have traced this issue back to EZ Security.
