Need help on Work In Progress(WIP - Manufacturing)

hi all,

I have to show a demo to the customer in which there is a need of explaining about Work In Progress (WIP - Manufacturing) .

How could i explain this to the customer. I haven't got an clear idea on that.

Can anyone help regarding this

    just a simple example

    Start production
    Post consumption Raw Material = $100
    Post some output product $20
    Then, WIP cost = $100 - $20 = $80.

    that means you still have $80 items in progress.
