Hi,

I am looking for a way to lookup the maximum number of users allowed on a database. This information i written in the license file, and is available on the "Sessions" page in the "database information". But I can not lookup the number from the code. I have tried looking the system table "Session", but without any luck. I am using a NAV 5.0.

Any ideas?

Mark W.

    Try to read table "License Information" and search for the record with the no. of sessions in it.
    Something like:
    recLicenseInformation.RESET;
    recLicenseInformation.SETCURRENTKEY("Line No.");
    recLicenseInformation.SETFILTER(Text,'*1,200*Session*');
    recLicenseInformation.FINDFIRST;

    EVALUATE(intNoOfSessions,COPYSTR(recLicenseInformation.Text,STRLEN(recLicenseInformation.Text) - 4));
    MESSAGE('<%1>',intNoOfSessions);

    Hi Kriki,

    Thanks for the reply. I tried it, using my developer’s license. But because of the amount of information in the license file, NAV cuts it, so that only company name, address and so on, is stored in the table.

    Your suggestion works like a charm when using “smaller” license files, but do you, or others, have any other ideas on how to do this.

    Again, thanks for the reply Kriki :wink:
