Hi all,
I've given the bare minimum permissions to the user to enter the database but not to access to anything else in the database. The user should view the menus. Kindly let me know what permissions and to which tables should be given to the new role id that I've created.
Regards,
Anjana

In Cronus database you have a role wirh name "ALL". Look at this role.0

I've tried by giving the Role as "ALL"... but i can view all the menus... what i meant is tat i wanted to view only the following tabs
1. Financial Manangement
2. Sales & Marketing
3. Purchase
4. Warehouse
5. Manufacturing
6. Resource Planning
7. Service
8. Human Resource
9. Administration
10. Shortcuts
Kindly guide me with the same...0 -
Don't forget that you can hide menus by security permissions. If there is a form/report, etc that a user can read in that menu group, then menu group will be displayed.
The only way to really hide a menu it's using navigation pane designer.0 -

anjann84, abnainas's solution is what yu are looking for, if lgot you right. The Menus
1. Financial Manangement
2. Sales & Marketing
3. Purchase
4. Warehouse
5. Manufacturing
6. Resource Planning
7. Service
8. Human Resource
9. Administration
10. Shortcuts
are "asigned" to users, and there is no object permission you need to give a user to view these.
The process of assigning is simple, as an admin with powers to assign users, Go to tools navigation pane designers. Right click on each menu and go to assign users. Tick all users who are supposed to view the menu...$cside -MBS
