  And what about looking into the form how it is done?

  surely I'm "studying" the form, but that field that can be clicked...what is?the variable is an integer but the form shows a '+' (or an arrow in version 4.00 SP3 and below)

  If you open the designer, select the control, open properties. In the title of property window you will see, that it is PictureBox... ;-)
