  did you look into some dictionary?
  
  Patch - for example patch for game xxx to from version A.BB to version A.CC.
  
  Batch - Batch which move things AA from location XX to location YY

  Same as between "Car" and "War", I do not know what to say more... look into the dictionary for the meaning. You can try e.g.

  patch : some code to fix bugs. Modify the application code only.
  
  batch : traitment to modify datas. Changes the datas only.
