Security Filter in Native

Guys,
In installation and configuration navision, I read that security filter is only exists for sql server option, but in native database, I also can see that security filter is available, so ... is the book incorrect ? or did I miss something ?

You can set it, but it will be not used. The field is there to be able to use Nav DB from SQL in Native form. Do not forget that data in NAV are platform independent, it means, what you need in one version, must be in the DB in other version too...0

Navision is a complete package and anytime you will see all the features for both SQL and navision prorietory except one, its only the synchonize option present under the security which is not shown until you are using the SQL server option.Diptish Naskar
