How to create a Test Company!

I'm trying to create a test company with the same data as the real company. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this? Thanks in advance for all your inputs!

    Hi,

    Make a backup of the current company, then go to Tools--->Database--->Company Rename and then rename the current company to whatever you want, then restore the backup up just took. Once restore is complete, open your renamed company and rename it back to the original name and you have two companies.

    Keep in mind you need to have your license set to create additional company.

    also remember your space - two companies with full data means twice the size.

    If you restore the backup in the same database (after renaming the company) you cannot test tables with "DataPerCompany = FALSE" because this would affect all Companies in the DB.

    Therefore restore the backup in a new database.

    restore backup of your working company into ANOTHER (new) database. there is granule 1,100 - company, which allows only certain number of companies in database. When you restore backup into working DB, you can get yourself in trouble due of limit companies no in license.

    You are able to create more companies than your license allow, but all other companies must be named CRONUS ... .
