Hi
can somebody tell me the difference in between "Session" <granule id 1200> in License Information tab and "Licensed sessions" in Database Information tab, in NAV 4.0.
My Licensed sessions are far greater than the session.
Also the total no. of sessions are restricted to the no. there in License Information i.e. "Session".

It can be that one no. is no. of user sessions and one is total of user+webuser+nas sessions...0

Thx for your reply kine.
But still i am unable to get it. My license information gives me the following information:
granule id name amount
1200 Session 20
1420 Application server 10
2310 Web user/each 10
And the total no. of licensed sessions is shown as 1020. How should i correlate these?
Also there one more doubt that my license is showing two options for company
granule id name amount
1100 company 1
1140 company-unlimited
What is the difference between the two and wht exactly they mean?
Thanks in advance!!0 -
Hi konark,

Best way how to understand it is to have the .txt file for your license. You can see there something like:Maximum No. of Sessions
Total....................: 73
Any......................: 71
Application Server.......: 2
Maximum No. of satellites..: 0
maximum No. of WEB users...: 1
In partners license there is 1000 Application server licenses by default. As you can see, Total is just "Any" + "Application server", without WEB users.0 -
Thanks Kine,
I'm Starting to understand but for example in my development license file i have this:
Maximum No. of Sessions
Total....................: 1,020
Any......................: 20
Application Server.......: 1,000
NAVI Hub.................: 1
Maximum No. of satellites..: 0
maximum No. of WEB users...: 10
i have tried to connect 21 time with Nav Sql and it works, for the 22nd it's not working cause nav says that i've reached the maximum number....but it shouldn't be 20 the maximum? what does it mean 1000 application server?
Please help me to understand thank youWhy don't you try my compare tool?

So the sessions there in my license file is the total no. of sessions. Is it?
I think 1000 is the no. of connections tht can be made thru NAS? Along with tht i wud also like to know wht is "Web User/Each" as it is mentioned in my license file.
Thanks a lot Kine and PureHeart for ur responses...

Web users were used for User portal, now are used for Employee portal (but I am not sure now...)0
