hi all,
there is a problem.
i have set branches as res. center.problem is that i have created expances dim for managing the expances.
in expances dim. all expances for all branches are declared.
i want that when i select the exp. dim while entering gl data
it should be filtered with only values with responsible res. center.
same thing happens in the case of dep dim.
all branches have same dept.
what should i do..
pls suggest

Isnt that what analisys by dimensions are all about? Or maybe account schedules? Surely there is one or 2 consultants browsing these boards. Ofcourse all financial reports can be filtered according to this.0

What you are asking is not so easy to do. Though theoritically you have to put filters on the list form of Dimensions that if it is Global Dimension 1 then the form view should be filtered as per the responsibility centre code assigned to the user.
Is my understanding correct???
If yes, then Dear Forum members can suggest how to technically acheive it, if it is possible?CA Sandeep Singla

If its on the form you can just set flowfilters to your dim code on form 16. No need to code that.0

It is not form 16 but Form No. 560 Dimension Value List needs to be filtered for if Dimension Code = Global Dimension 1 then Dimension value view = responsibility centre defined on the user's usersetup.CA Sandeep Singla

Takes a while to understand what he is looking for. So basicly its just a filter when you lookup dims.
Since its a straight up tablerelation my guess is you would have to modify on lookup on dimension value code on form 545.0 -
can we set the properties in Source table view for filtering the dimension values based on the user's responsibility centre defined in user setup :?:
Or we need to write the code.CA Sandeep Singla
