Navision Application Server

Hi All,

I have a client that has purchased the Application Server granule. The strangest thing is that buying this granule does not give them permission to use the application server setup table, as well as the other forms and codeunits associated with this.

I need to get information in and out of Navision, and the application server is a wonderful tool to use. I find it very useless however if I can't use codeunits such as XML DOM Management or XML Document Receive.

Does anyone know of a way around this? Surely these objects should be included in the license?

    The objects you are trying to access are most likely the CP, CG and UP objects. In order to access these objects you need to license those products. Licensing the NAS gives you access to use the NAS it self and it does not include access to any new Navision objects.

    The thing is that you are able to purchase the application server without having purchased any of the portals or ADCS. What can application be used for if not with XML?
