Gen Bus Posting Group =;

We are having some real probs with Attain 3.6A. We are unable to post invoices, or create sales orders or even post payroll. The error we keep getting is:

"The Tax Posting Setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: Tax Bus. Posting Group=,TaxProd.Posting Group=''

These items are setup yet Attain doesn't seem to find them. Anyone have any ideas?

    I am assuming, somewhere, either in the customer card, purchase order, item, or PO line, there is probably no tax posting group assigned. Thus, you are getting an error message that says those values are blank.

    Also, I saw that you were located in Florida...are you using tax posting groups for the NA version? I believe tax posting groups are for European based VAT, and Sales Tax is used for NA taxes. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

    can you tell us what's in your Tax posting Setup Card?

    I believe your correct all our Vat's are blank

    Your Tax Posting setup should have one record, with all blank values in the fields, except Tax Calculation should be set to sales tax...

    These are tricky issues, especially if you have imported your Customers with blank values in the posting group fields, or even spaces in those fields. Check those fields for space values and set them to existing ones. Good luck finding all of them :).
