Is there a way to transfer a users Zup file to another user. Or make it a common profile?

Yes. you need to take the zup file that you want to copy to all the other users, and move it to the C:\Documents and Settings\{USERID}\Application Data\fin.zup and drop it in there.0

That is what I thought. at least under Native Navision.
We are running Nav40 SQL sp3.
It appears that the users settings "follow" them from work station to work station. If that is so, where do I look to "cut & paste" a users ZUP settings to be applied for a new user?
Any ideas?
Thanks

Looks like you've implemented roaming profile? If yes, then you need to include the zup into their profile so that it gets copied as well.0

Is there a setting in Navision or SQL2005 that controls the storing of a Navision Users Profile? where is it?
My objective is to take the "zup" file settings for one user and use them as the settings for a new user, thus not wasting all the time for the new user to "customize" the appearance of Navision when logged in to Navision as the new user.
This client is not running Active Directory
Any ideas?0 -
If you have 'common setting' across your company that are important enough for you to investigate a standard zup file, then I would suggest you document the settings and have your solution center implement them into the form design. Those types of modifications are typically small enough to do in a couple of hours.0

Or you could learn to do them yourself. It's never too late to learn form designer.
Make sure you do this in test environment.0
