Tablelocking by logged out user

Yesterday I had some trouble with a table (Dimension) locked by a user who was logged out from Navision and Citrix.The table was locked for about 2,5 hours. After that time it got automatically free again.
We are running Navision 3.6 under Citrix in a Windows 2000 environment.
Does somebody know what was going on ?

Did that user actually logged out of Navision and then out of Citrix using the Start button?
If this user just clicked the X of his Citrix window, then this is the problem. For some reason if you close Citrix that way, it doesn't actually clean up the connection, but it keeps it alive for a while.0
