Dear users,
We have created 1 simple item that we have set for purchasing. It has purchase prices and sales prices and we have setup a purchase vendor with a lead time of 10D (everything of the vendor directly on the itemcard is left blank because we have multiple vendors with different conditions and prices). Item is set as critical on the itemcard.
When we make an sales order of this item and want to know when it is available, we go to order promising and calculate the ATP/CTP dates. These dates calculated do not take into account the lead time entered for this item !
When we enter a leadtime on the itemcard, it does take this into account and dates are correct. But this is not usefull !!
In the help, the lead time has a priority and the most important is the lead time defined on the vendor base, then on the SKU and then on the itemcard.
So ?? :-k what is wrong ? Why does this not work ? Is there some setting we forgot. We took this very very simple example to show that Nav calculates the ATP/CTP dates, .... ](*,)
Hope you can help you with this ?!
Thank you !
Danny

Navision gets the prices correct, depending on the number of items needed. When he can get the price information from the correct line, he knows the vendor and therefore the lead-time ! Or does NAV only do prices ?
From the help:
Lead Time Calculation Field
The Item Vendor Table
In this field, you enter a date formula for the amount of time that it takes to replenish the item. The program uses this field to calculate the date fields on purchase order and order proposal lines as follows:
Order Date + Lead Time Calculation = Planned Receipt Date.
If a requested receipt date was entered, Requested Receipt Date - Lead Time Calculation = Order Date.
Note that the Lead Time Calculation field appears in other tables. The program will prioritize the field in the Item Vendor table, the Stockkeeping Unit table, and then the Item card.[/i]
Acording to this tekst, Navision is 'smart' enough to determine what lead-time it must use !
Or not ??? ](*,) This is driving me crazy !
If you are correct, it would be impossible for me to sell an item when I do not have a preffered vendor on the itemcard !? Not even a selection is displayed, how can I calculate a possible delivery date ?
Any solution, or must I use preffered vendor on Itemcard :-k
Thanks
Danny
Sale price does not depend from vendor, it is linked to Sales Type (customer, price group, campaign, all customer), Item No., UoM, Quantity, Order Date.
How can Navision know the vendor you will use?
