Multiple Sales Order : Single Production Order

Dear Friends,

Standard Navision can create production order against a sale order. Is it possible to create single production order for an item on different sales order i.e to create porduction order item wise and not sales order wise.

    Yes, but it needs a bit of manual intervention, or a bit of code.

    The end result is that tyou need to Create a production order of Source Type::Item, instead of Order, and then when you Refresh or Replan, you need to then reserve the quantity against the actual sales orders.

    If this is a regular process, then you would want to modify the base code, since it can be a fair bit of work manually if you have many orders.

    Also in some cases, if you reserve all orders, then Auto reserve can do a lot of the work for you, but that does not work for many customers.
