retrieve attachment's data

In Navision, we can use interaction template to assign some pre-defined field value into word document as attachment.

I would like to know can Navision retrieve data typed in attachment? (e.g. word document)

can anyone raise any idea to achieve this case?

    afaik, this is not possible.

    What you can do, is don't save the files into the database, but on a file server. There is a lot of software available to search in files (wally search, google desktop...). Try to use this to search into the worddocs.

    Furthermore,
    With relativly small changes, you can make sure NAV makes some clear fale names in stead of the current numbered files. We also did some changed on folders, so that every file was in a specific folder on the file server.

    If you are using SQL-server, there is a possibility. In SQL you can define a full-text search, which can also function on the data in the blob's if you are using the right filter (ifilter named on SQL) for the filetype.
    I never used it, but I know this is a feature which is standard on SQL (not MSDE).
