It is sometimes required to write a line of

For minor changes(fields) you can use the 'codeunit on validate'(see kirkis post).
But for a whole line i would use comments or if that isnt enough you can design your own table and just tablerelate to the posted invoices. That way you wont get any problems if they should change standards.0 -
To add a comment to an Invoice, just go to the line press F3 select type = blank and add the comment.
But somehow I don't think you meant invoice, you may have meant Posted Invoice. In this case, do be aware of the accounting rules, about changing posted documents. Some countries it is OK, but I believe India is very strong on Posted Document integrity.David Singleton0 -
What kind of modifications/addition you require to the posted invoice ?
Is is some kind of comment then use the comment functionality.
If it is some kind of modification in the customer/item name/description then no editing should be done.
If some extra text has to be printed on the invoice like exemption declaration then use a label on the report if it is fixed or in case it change from invoice to invoice make user enter/select the "code of the text"/text on the sales header itself and save the same in the Sales Invoice Header table.CA Sandeep Singla
