Integrate developments on a Navision DB into a dutch DB?

I'm totally new to Navision or any Ms Product development whatsoever, I'm actually a webdesigner with PHP, MySQL, XHTMl, CSS, ... as my expertise. But now I have a customer asking me if I can integrate developments on a non-dutch Navision Database into a dutch database. Is this possible with my skills as a base?

    Of course you can.
Export the objects from both db's to a .txt file and compare them with eg. Beyond Compare. Merge both files.
Make sure that when you create the exports that the language setting is the same.

Unfortunately Saul this really is not going to be possible. At first glance it looks straight forward and simple, but unless you are planning to switch careers to Dynamics, then there is no way it would pay for the time you would need to invest in learning how to do this.

The actual work in merging objects you could do without a problem, just use beyond compare as stated, but that the actual merging is a minor part of the job, an I can pretty much guarantee that the resulting system will be a nightmare, and you WILL be forced to fix it for free.

    So if
1/ this is a one off, then a better solution would be to post a request here asking if someone can help you by doing the Navision bit whilst you do your part, and the project will be much smoother.

    But if
2/ on the other hand, your long term plan is to move towards working with Dynamics, then the cost and loss of billable time to you makes sense, so long as you understand that this first project will be a "Free Training project", and then you could use it to learn Navision.

If 1/ Then it probably best to get someone Dutch to since they will already understand the Dutch system. If 2/ then basically you have a much wider choice of partners to work with.
