Hi all,

This issue from my customer.

when handle qty. is 0,
All time it’s show “qty. on Sales Order” in “Item Card” mistake. And some time it’s show “Gross Requirement Qty.” in “Inventory Availability Report” mistake. And in this issue when handle qty. is 0 we cannot post shipment.

What is wrong? Why when handle qty. is 0 then cannot post shipment?

    Hi,

That field Handle Qty, where is it? which table? Sales line?

And what is the Nav version of your client?

    Hi,

    1. Qty. to Handle from "Item Tracking Lines" Form.
    2. From"Tracking Specification" Table.
    3. My customer use NAV 4.0

    Hi again...

In order to post a shipment and you are using an item that has item tracking on (serial no. or lot no.) then you must always enter the tracking specification, so that the application to know which specific item to take out of the location. That is why it cannot post a shipment without knowing which specific item to take out from the location...

I hope it is more clear now...

[-o< Please don't bang your head! you will hurt it!

In the tracking specification form, on the header it shows the demand of the qty that your order have and the qty that you have already entered (number of serials or lot).

If you don't have the same qty of specifications that are needed when posting then you will surely get an error. have you tried to look into the help on that form? I think it has some very usefull info...
