Navision Manufacturing works the typical way a financial accountant imagines a manufacturing system should i.e. it makes nice calculations of costs, running cost calculation very nicely, posts costs nicely and so on. It clearly does not work the way a production manager would want it to. For example, the data entry interface is too hard for a manufacturing worker. It is impossible that a blue-collar would use the Output Journal for reporting his work. You need quite some customization.

I agree with this. We made for both some modifications in this.
I must say that the MRP works nice. Luckily, because it's hard to customize (as well as the requisition worksheet).
Like mentioned before, it is very usable for manufacturing with the exceptions mentioned. But then only for descrete manufacturing. Don't use Navision for chemical industry in the standard version.
seems to be unfit for finite loading of manufacturing planning.
Indeed, but thats a general point for all the MRP/ERP systems. All the systems I know allways calculate in base with unfinite loading. Only those workplaces that are real critical can then be calculated in finite loading. This can mean a lot of calculations, but that's the same for all the systems, and is my opinion not realy a disadvantage of Navision because its nothing else as all the others.
No problem to use manufacturing for injection molding. But several point of interest like tools, cavity,..... require some add functionality for which, hapily is made by several partners an add-on

We have two quite big manufacturing companies using this granule, but I don't know this means it is strong?

How about its suitability for industry in injection, molding manufacturing?
