Windows 2000 and Software Installation

I'm having a bit of trouble Using Windows 2000 Server to push out the Navision Attain 3.01b application to user workstations. I have created a Group Policy Object in the same manner that I have used in the past to successfully deploy Office 2000, Norton Anti-Virus, and other apps such as Winzip. Installation seems to run properly on the workstations but upon executing Attain I receive a message that fin.exe has generated an error and will be shut down. I have tested this setup numerous times with other test workstations and I keep getting the same result. Anyone out there use the advanced features of Windows Server 2000 to roll out Attain?

Hi Mike,
have you ever try to check the workstation license file (fin.flf)? maybe the license contained some setting that didn't support by your server.
Or you may check the hosts file on your workstation. I hope you can make sure that it contain proper ip address to your server. or maybe you can delete the ip address directing to your server.Regards,

Even though this is an old post, the problem was solved when other "hotfixes" came out affecting the executables.0
