Scanning Barcodes printed on the Dot-matrix printer

Hello everybody,
We want to print an Invoice number (INV12345678910) on the Invoice Document. Currently we are using BC C39 HD Medium font. When this document is printed on the laser there is no problem. However when the same document is printed on the dot-matrix printer the bars appear too close to each other so scanner cannot read it. Of course I can increase the width of the barcode and increase font but then the barcode will take more then half of the page.
So basically I wanted to know which fonts are you using? And is there a font thta can be compact, be able to display letters as well as digits and being able to be printed on DM printer and scanned by the scanner.
Thanks a lot.
Best Regards,
Oleg

I really don't think printing barcodes on a dot-matrix is a good option. The lines need to be clean to read, and I don't know of any dot-matrix that would have the resolution required.

I was thinking the same, matrixes are never going to get the desired resolution. Unless you make a really big barcode.

Maybe they can print the barcodes on a label printer and then stick the label on the paper printed with the matrix?

Why do they want to work with a matrix anyway? for the copytrough? print it four or five times then. Sell them a fast laser printer.

They have a stock of preprinted paper you say? I say dump it. The cost of the pile of paper is not going to wheigh up in the end. We consultants don't come cheap eh
