Hi guys,

I am looking forward for a solution to cluster a navision native database. I have two HP ML350G4 which I can use as the nodes and a HP MSA500 which can be used as a shared storage disks. Can u provide me with some documentation for navision clustering???? :?:

Navision doesn't support clustering. But you can do something like "pseudo clustering" by starting the service on backup server when the service is down on original server. Of course, you need the shared storage to access the same database files. But the hearthbeat must be created in some way...

Navision is supported in a fail-over cluster arrangement (Active-Passive). There is a white paper (version 3.60) that documents a test system.

It is not seam-less, as users need to restart Navision after a fail-over.
There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

Yes one of our client was running 2.6 native onn clustering system, active passive. They moved to sql when they upgraded.

On sql as well as native when server fails, the Navision client looses connection and the user has to reconnect to the server.
