How to convert report to the text file

I'ave a doubt, how to convert the report to a text file?

    Hi,
    when you open a report, you can save it as a HTML file, and then you can choose if transform it in a Excel, Word, Text.....file.

    Or you could install a printer (in windows) which prints to a file instead of printing to a printer. This will create a prn file.

    There are four ways to change how a report is sent.
    1. HTML
    2. Email
    3. Text
    4. PDF

    1 and 2 follow the Navision instructions on saving your reports in these formats.
    3. When the report prompts for the printer to select. Select the Print to File check box. for printer name select Generic / Text Only. Click OK. You will then be prompted for the location and name you want to save your text to.
    4. Install Acrobat . When the report prompts for the printer to select. Select Acrobat Distiller.

    Unforunatly you lose your formatting when you save it to text. Acrobat does keep your formating.

    Hi Vettri,

    u can install PDF Creator. It's freeware! :) PDF Creator will install new printer on your computer. When you print on this printer, pdf file will be created...

    You didn't need the expensive Adobe product if you only want to print into a pdf file.

    There are many tools availible which will help you to print to pdf.
