Does Navision use one license?

Our company has 8 licenses. One came with Navision 3.10 and 7 we purchased via a yearly fee. We are not running Jet Reports that I know of because nobody in the office knows what they are.
We can only have 7 people in at one time, so I'm guessing Navision uses one of those licenses?! .. and if so why does it have to?!

Maybe the free user is the NAS user you get for free. You can only use this with a NAS, not with a normal user0

The one user session is used by the server.

Thanks guys. We just wanted to make sure we weren't paying for one extra license and not being able to use it. I know the licenses are costly.0
