Synchronization in Commerce Portal

Hi
After doing all the installations and setup for Commerce Portal I am unable to carry out synchronization.The Navision Commerce portal synchornization service is running but the communication tab in commerce portal synchronization shows the no of records to be updated as a number which does not decrease and no tables are created in sql with commerce_<Tablename>. in other words synchronization doesnt happen. this haapens everytime i try to install and everytime it is hit and trial. Is there any proper procedure or method for synchronization?Pls help. I have no clue as how to proceed further.

I also had problems with syncronization....
4 things that I had to do to make it worked was:
1. Install on 2 machines, one for navision server, and one for frontend with mssql and cs server.
2. computernames MUST be of a max. of 8 characters.
3. for mail 2 work on backend was to install ms outlook 2000.
4. apart from above, follow the installation guide/manual to the letter...

If the number of records to be updated didn't decrease, means:
1. you have no NAS run for synchronization
2. after you install commerceportal web integration actually Navision
create some registry in your PC, which needed by NAS for
synchronization to pickup synchmq address. If there was a mistaken
during this component installation, means NAS not understand where
to deliever the message.
3. maybe there is an error in NT event logs saying that NAS not running
properly due certain reason..
4. Make sure all Navision services is run. NAS service & CPsynch.
I was in the same problem like you, none of my standard or any commerce portal installation can just click and run.
btw,
it would be nice if you provide me more detail on your configuration tough.
If you say you follow standard installation, you need to check point no.
2,3,4 and please let me know. Are you using 1 PC or 2 PC ?0
