Migrate cube

Hello,
I designed a cube on a local Navision database and I need to migrate it on main SQL option database in order to configure it.
I tryied to export xml and import again on another database. Even is possible to view xml on main database, the cube structure wasn't imported in Navision tables.
Is this a limitation or I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks.

If you mean objects, export and import them.
If you mean data in some Navision-tables, make a dataport to export and import them (a lot easier then XML-ports).Regards,Alain Krikilion

Uhh, I think the purpose is to use the tables (BA Db. Overview Line aso) to design the xml file, not the other way around.
So, afaik there is no backward functionality, but you can import the xml and then run the configurator. If everything is ok you should get the AS database as per the imported xml. The limitation is ofcourse that you cannot redesign the xml.0 -
But can I not import with the XML all the objects and the data together?? Have I to do in two steps as you said???0

XMLports are like dataports. They just import/export data, not objects.ycobos wrote:But can I not import with the XML all the objects and the data together?? Have I to do in two steps as you said???Regards,Alain Krikilion

The XML is just description of the cube which are processed with the BA Configurator which create the cube structure and DTS packages which are transfering data from Navision DB into the cube.0
