in short, schemaxt populate navision server to AD, and than, your server will be viewable in login form.0 -
yes .does it must require to extend schemaxt.exe ?0

No, you do not need that. I never extended the schema...0

1.Then why my Navision DB server not running properly.?
2.why It shows me error that Database .......\....fdb does not exist on Navision server.?
3.why it dosent appear when I am loginto Navision?0 -
1) Because point 2
2) It seems that the server is not configured correctly and is trying to access nonexisting DB or has not enough permission to access the file (or list the file, enter the folder etc.)
3) Navision DB server is listed in the Server list just if you extend the AD. But this is not needed for proper functionality of the server. You can still enter the server name manually.
And: if you are connecting to DB server, fill just the server name and leave the File name empty...0 -
Which type of permissions are required for NDServer.?0
-
Of course, must have read/write access to the database files, good is to have enough permissions for r/w into server folder. The permissions must be granted for account under which the service is running.0

But where we can give them this permission?
In SQL server Enterprise maneger? or In administrator i.e.in Computer management> users?0 -

SQL Server Enterprise manager??? You are using Native DB server boy... or not??? Make it clear, please!
Because the title of this post is "Navision Database Server" I still assume that you are using Navision DB Server (Native Server). It means, there are three main components - DB file, DB Server, Client. Client must have rights to connect to DB Server (firewall permissions), DB Server must have rights to read and write the DB File (File permissions for account under which the DB Server is running). And of course, both applications (server and client) needs to have enough permissions to run - read own DLL, write into the application folder to be able to create fin.smt and other files.)0 -
But my question is how to give this permission? :-k :-k0

You need to add file permissions to the DB file for account under which is the server running. I want to guide you without solving it instead of you. Do you know how to set permissions on files?0
