Navision 4.0SP1 N/ODBC setup

Hi!

I'm trying to import data from Navision to Excel for report generation. I got stock with and error "You do not have permission to run 'C/ODBC' system." when trying to configure ODBC settings. Do we need a separate license for ODBC access?

Anybody who knows the answer?

ODBC for SQL version - C/Odbc for Native Database.

Your License needs Granule ID 1,700 c/odbc

But you don't need C/odbc to export data from navision to Excel.

for the native database, you need to import your license into the odbc driver

from the machine you installed the odbc go to the odbc database administrator console. Click on the Navision odbc driver and then click on the configure button, the Navision odbc setup screen has a button import license"

Haven't set up the sql odbc driver so don't know about that one.
