Can someone explain in the sales order line what is the functional difference between the Shipment date and the Planned shipment date ? Whenever you change one of these 2 dates, the other one automaticly changes to the same date.

Planned Shipment = shipment date - warehouse handling time0

Normally it's the same because in the warehouse location the handling time is zero.0

This what I've got from online help - F1:
Planned Shipment Date Field
The Sales Line Table
This field contains the date that the shipment should ship from the warehouse.
If the customer requests a delivery date, the program calculates the planned shipment date by subtracting the shipping time from the requested delivery date.
If the customer does not request a delivery date or the requested delivery date cannot be met, the program calculates the content of this field by adding the shipment time to the shipping date.
Shipment Date Field
The Sales Line Table
This field contains the date that the items on the line are in inventory and available to be picked. The shipment date is the date you expect to ship the items on the line.
The program enters the shipment date from the sales header in this field, but you can change the date on the line if necessary.
If you change the shipment date on the sales header, the program will give you the option to change all the shipment dates on the lines.

So when the warehouse location handling time is zero, the Planned shipment date is of no further use ? (because the Shipment date provides the necessary info)0

That is simplified version.
If the formula, the also is involve the customized location calendar and the Shipping Agent Service calendar.
But normally is only the inbound/outbound handling time0 -
Thanks very much Nunomaia, I understand now. \:D/0
