Credit Memo on Reminders/Finance Charge

Hi,

This questions is whehter Navision(4.0 or up) calculate interest for credit memo on Reminders/Finance Charge. I tested and do not think so but just want to confirm.

How do you want to charge interest on credit memos?

Do you mean a purchase credit memo where the vendor owes you money?

No, I mean customer credit memo. We need to give the customer interest credit for credit memo.

Are these credits that aren't used and sit in your system?

If they sit there unused they get Interest?

Can you apply them to an open inv?
Are these credits large enuf that you could cut them a check?

I've personally never heard of interest on a credit. Can you explain more?

That's what I was wondering - we would probably just cut them a check (if we did the interest thing) Just so we wouldn't have to deal with that.

Well, to answer your question, no, standard Navision does not calculate finance charge for credit memos. However, it would be a pretty simple modification to make.

But the more important question is, why kind of business are you in where you have to give customer interest for open credit memos?
