hi frns,

i have started like zis:

Upgrading from Navision 4.0 to Navision 4.0 SP1

1. General Picture

1

NAVISION
4.0
Base Objects

2

AIRMAD
CUSTOMISATION
On
NAVISION 4.0

3

NAVISION
4.01
Base Objects

4

AIRMAD
CUSTOMISATION
+
NAVISION 4.01

We will be using Navision Developers Toolkit to merge objects 1,2,3 to get our final result 4.

2. Steps to be performed
a. Create a new database in Navision 4.0 for the Navision Developer’s Toolkit.
b. Save it in C:\Program files\ Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision Developers Toolkit as e.g DEVTOOL.FDB
c. Size should be approx. 1.5 GB
d. Restore DEVTOOL.FBK found in C:\Program files\ Microsoft Business Solutions-Navision Developers Toolkit
e. Export all modified objects of AIRMAD from Navision 4.0 to a .txt file. (e.g CUST4.0.txt)
f. Export all objects – uncustomised- from Navision 4.0 (e.g AllObj40.txt)
g. Export all objects – new - from Navision 4.01 (e.g AllObj401.txt)

3. In Developers Toolkit (import all the text objects)

when i doing the above am getting: Database Error:1048

Do you know why am getting this???

It is possible the DB is not big enough.
Use your DB as a service, like this you connect to the DB with the TDK and a Navision client. With the Navision client you can monitor how much DB-space is used (File => Database => Information) when importing and when it gets over 90%, increase the DB-size.

BTW: did you create your DB with 4.0SP2 and use the latest version of DTK?
