Hi I have a problem in Account Schedule Report. It seems that it never calculates the total of COGS. But serveral months ago everything is fine. I checked the setting, everything is fine. Anybody has any idea? Thanks!
Thank you ara! We will double check this! I have another question. We found some problems in our system. The AR of the first day never equals to the AR of the begining of the next day. What's the problem? Please help!
Yes, We did do everything! In the report we see the amount of cost of goods sold, but the system didn't calculate the total, so the gross margin is still the total sales! Expert, can anyone give any clue? Thanks!!!

Has the report been changed? this is a custom report? looks like you just not totaling the cogs in the report
Harry, I'd like to hear your advice! First of all the accounts schedule is not customized and it works fine until recently it didn't total the COGS. Regarding the AR, we check the cash applied and aged accounts receivable and sales analysis report. We check the AR+ Cash Applied -Sales of the previous day, the total didn't equal to the the AR of the next day if we did the credit. Do you have any good ideas? Thanks!
Can you manually go and calculate COGS from the GL accounts. There could be two things, one is data and the other is Acount scheduler is not setup correctly, or has dimension filters or date filters.

It's obvious we're shooting in the dark trying to figure out what the problem is.
Have you contacted your local solution center and pose this question to them? This is one of those questions where onsite assistance will make a whole world of difference.
Thanks for all your advice and we'll try to check everything!
I have an accounting qestion on the AR. How do you check if the numbers are all correct, I mean all the AR of the first day equals to the AR of the beginning of the second day. Which reports can accurately retrieve the data? Thanks!!!

There are 2 reports you can use to reconcile your A/R balance:
Customer Transaction Detail
Trial Balance Detail/Summary
Print both of these reports out and compare the details.

day1start = you have a total
day1middle = stuff happens like orders & payments
day2start = different total from day1
You need to be much clearer.
What's not matching?
Where are you getting your numbers from?
Are you sure you aren't filtering anything?

The "CPA" financial statement uses the following formula:
Beginning inventory
+purchase
- ending inventory
= COGS
Is your COGS in the following format?
AP Commerce, Inc. = where I work
Getting Started with Dynamics NAV 2013 Application Development = my book
Implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV - 3rd Edition = my 2nd book
Have any changes, updates, upgrades, crashes happened recently?

I strongly recommend having a Navision expert come onsite and take a look at your database. Things will only get worse as your data grows.
