Trail Balance Report - Year to date Balance

Folks - Using the standard Trial Balance report is it possible to get the year to date balance rather then the balance of the account without closing the fiscal year and posting the income statements?
At the moment whenever I run the report (even if it is for a period such as 01/01/05..31/03/05) I am getting the balance of the account, rather then the balance of that account within that period.
Any help would be appreciated.

What the hell makes someone think that an ABAP developer can magically program C/Side?

For printing trial balance, you will need to select Net Change instead of Balance and set your date filter as you described.
