How do you cut a check to a customer?

I feel dumb for asking...but I forgot.
In Navision 3.7 and 4.0 How do you cut a check for a Customer. In payment Journal you can choose Customer but I can not post it....Requires a negative.

  yes it needs to be done through payment journal. play with the signs , doc type, check type, applies to doc no. until you get it right.

  You need to use the document type Refund.
