Table and Form

My guess, he wants to know the purpose of the tables and forms.

1. This table gets populated for historical info, every time you do a physical. This table stores the physical inventory. Basically a copy of the journal.

2. Item journa template, is the setup for item journal. Here you can specify which template uses what form etc. Normally default setup is suffucient for most client.

3. Item journal is used to for any change that you want to make to inventory. Navision posting routine uses item journal to post sales, purchaes, reevaluation, pos adj. neg, adj.., physical inventory, Manually you can do them as well through the item journal.


forms.
1. Physical inveneotry form is one of the forms that uses Item journal line. and this form is used for making physical inventory.

It's you third topic about seemingly the same Phys. Inv. issue. Please don't do this in the future, it does make more sense to collect all possible sides, facets of a given problem in one topic and not three. I have replied in two of them, so no point in doing it in the third. But please avoid it.

That's assuming he's working for a solution center and not an end user suffering from bad solution centers.
