BA - Date Functions

Hello,
is it possible to use datefunctions in business analytics (both in analysis and reports). The reason is that I want to show a column that displays for example the Amount of the current month (filtered on Posting date).
This would be a great help for me.

Where do I found a list of functions that can be used?

    If you group some data by date column, you can see the totals for Year, Q, month etc... I do not know where can be problem...

    i want to generate an analysis or report that shows the data from the cubes for the current month without changing the filters. so each month i want to have an "update" report for that specific month.
