MRP / MPS in Planning Worksheet

Hi
I am working on a site just now who use MPS and MRP. Everything works logically, however one issue is going to become annoying.
The Planner runs MPS and the system makes sensible suggestions as to what that they make/buy,
The planner will then tweak the plan to suit production plans staff levels material availability etc.
He will then carry out action messages to make Production Orders. Everything is fine.
However when we nwxt run MRP the system suggests he cancels/reschedules his production orders and carrys them out as was suggested in the first MRP run, meaning he has to go through all of the messages deciding which ones he dealt with before and which ones are new.
I cannot believe that this is how everyone has to work. Are there settings or a combination of parameters on the item which will stop this. I am looking at various code changes to work around this, but would hope it is available in the standard system.
They are a new site running 4.0 SP1.
Also while I am on it seems that expiry dates do not come into the MRP/MPS calculation at all. Is this correct.
Thanks
John

Dear friend,
you can use field: planning flexibility set to none in planning worksheet if you don't want your production order disturbed (rescheduled) after you run planning worksheet and before carried out action message, it can be done either for production order, transfer order or purchase order. but if you have changed qty on sales order and rescheduled the sales order, the system will tell you that your orders are changed/rescheduled. This is happened when you have carried out action message after run planning worksheet.
As about expire date, it comes from item tracking. the system will not concern it.
