Calculating and tracking item cubage in WMS

Hi,

In WMS, we can set the max. cubage of each bin.

Question: How does Navision know when a bin has reached its max. cubage?

In Item card, I can only find 'Unit Volume' that stores the volume of the item for customs documents, waybills, etc.

Is Unit Volume being used in calculating the cubage of the bin?

    Hi,

    In the item card, in UoM you can define the details of weight and cubage.

    The Cubage field on the item UOM table (length * width * heigth) is only used for new transactions. The total current cubage for a bin is calculated from the warehouse entry table. For this reason, if you start using cubage in an active warehouse location you must update existing entries.
    There are no bugs - only undocumented features.

    Thank you SV and bbrown.

    I can see the cubage on the Whse entris after i have defined the length, width and height in Item UOM.
