Business analytics: configurator crashes

Hi,

I'm figuring out what the new functionality in version 4 (beta2) is,
compared to 3.70. I try to run the configurater based on the setup tables in
Navision and the xml file created.
After a few seconds the message appears:
"Error during initialization. Acces violation at address OO4D2428 in module
'BAConfigurator40.exe'. Read of address 000000028"

Also it keeps the dabase locked after this, so I have to restart the machine.

Environment:
- everything runs on my laptop (local)
- windows xp sp2
- sql2000 sp3
- sql analysis services sp3
- navision client W1 4.0 beta2
- cronus database 4.0 beta2

    update:

    perhaps it has something to do with the CFRONT.DLL or the ODBC driver.
    When I want to make a DSN manually with the v4 odbc-driver I get the message:

    "the server and the client do not have the same program version number."

    Perhaps that's the problem ?

    Hi

    When I have this error, is not enough to restart the computer. The error is because a wrong definition of the cube. Try to delete the last change, or better, delete the cube and start again.

    But... you dont have any cube? I supose you need to create first cube, before to process ba database.

    If the problem is you cant go to the ba database list, try to reinstall the system

    I create manually tha first cube in Analysis Server but when I run Configurator by Navision I receive the same errore message!

    For Business Analytics Server U must have SQL Server.
    u r not able to install SQL Server on XP.U must have win2003.
    First u have to create cubes in navision..
    Update the xml files.and edit them.
    Then install BA Basic.
    then start the configurator.
