Continue to write a Textfile

I want to achive the following. I want to open one textfile per person and I want to continue to write into it. Each “write” being a new record. This textfile shall continue on for ever. I do not want to overwrite the file!
Is that possible? And will each new “write” also create a new record?
I would like to do all this in a separate codeunit. I was thinking that I could open the textfile in codeunit 1 or when opening the Menu, but the system doesn’t let me do it.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Can you tell me how did you settle it? I still got the message "Do you want to overwrite this file?.. etc"
