Try and find Navigate on the 4.0 menu. Back in 1998, navigate was the main selling point of Navision.
true enough, but the problem is that adding semi-serious new functionality is more harmful than not adding it at all, because partners don't have the resources to thoroughly test all new functionality from all possible viewpoint and find bugs, design flaws and missing integration points before offering it to a customer.
If MSFT accept that Navision is but a platform, then the price of the standard functionality should be higher, but the price of users should be lower - MSFT should understand that the current licencing conditions for those companies, who use 10 users for accounting in standard Navision and 90 users who only use an add-on and nothing in the standard is unsuitable.
Convergence will have its first European meeting in Munich in November. All the main Navision people will be there - so it will be worth going to if you could not make it to the USA meeting.
