Sales Price Setup Hierarchy

RachelSoonRachelSoon Member Posts: 202
Hi,

Need help on below.

Navision has 3 type of pricing setup under Sales Type:
1) Customer
2) Customer Price Group
3) All Customers
4) Campaign

Is there any hierarchy as to how Navision will choose the unit price, assuming all has the same setting and start date?

Thanks in advance!

    I think qty minimum that you must consider to choose the unit price.

    Hi,

    What if the minimun quantity is all set to 0 (no applicable in my case)?

    Hi..
    I think you should try to make the minimum qty = 1 if you want to use the pricing set up but if the qty of item is zero, the system will use unit price in the item card unless if you make some changes or work around maybe, but I think it's no need because you can directly write in the unit price all the sales price setup you've made in the 3 types.

    Hi,

    The min quantity does not apply into my case. I set the min qty = 1 for all the Sales Type setup but still the same result. Navison is getting the lowest price.

    Can Navision behave in the below hierarchy to get the sales price?

    Get the price from:
    1) Customer;
    2) If not found, get from Campaign;
    3) If not found, get from Customer Price Group;
    4) If not found, get from All Customer;
    5) Lastly, unit price from Item SKU

    Is there any setting to this?

    Thanks!

    navision works according to best price available i.e. lowest price that the customer would be entitled to and biggest discount- if u using discount

    e.g customer A belongs to Customer price group Whole

    customer A - price 90
    Customer price group Whole - price 98
    All customers- price 85

    given same start date and end date

    navision will get the price 85, as it is the lowest price to which customer A is entitled.

    A bit strange, but thats navision lol

    that's what I am afraid of. The Navision behaviour is a bit strange.

    Anyway, I got my answers.

    Thanks a lot to those who replied :D:D

    Hi,

    Please read the 'Best Price' rule in Navision help. In fact this is one of the most frequently asked questions in the Certification exams as well. It is not strange that Navision applies this logic. If you imagine a scenario where there are multiple parameters set for Sales prices, and many salesperson, customer, this rule can be very helpful.

    That is the logical behaviour i was expecting before i came back to navision realities :cry:

    we didn't customise as going to change that logic as its quite some hassle. we settled for the following what we did is to use customer price group only. only if we want to give a lower price to a specific customer do we set a price for the individual customer.
