Calling codeunit from outside Navision

Hi,
Is there a way to run a Codeunit from outside Navision? I have an application written in Delphi, and I know I can access all required Navision data through either ODBC or C/Front. But rather than duplicate some of the base code, I want to simply run a Codeunit remotely? Any ideas? If I'm using the SQL Server version, does this change my situation?

Thank you for answering my post.
I have installed NAS on my system, and I'm now looking for documentation as to how to call the aforementioned codeunit from outside Navision.
Can you direct me to the proper documentation?
