Empty Navigation Pane??

hi,

I´m just starting to learn navision. I installed a minimal client-installation locally, created a new database on a SQL-Server and imported the CRONUS AG demo-database from the cd.

The problem is, if I open the demo-client, the Navigation Pane is empty. :shock: Theres just a entry for Shortcuts, but nothing else. If I right-click Shortcuts and choose Show, theres a window "Show Menus" without any entry.

Does anybody know, how to get the menus in the navigation pane? :?

    sounds like you might not have created the database correctly, you must install the sample database first and use it to create the new blank database.

    try to open the sample database directly. and export all the objects from the sample database and then import them into your new database.

    In my opinion it seems like you:

    1) Have not restored whole backup
    2) or you restored some older DB version (but in this case, you will have old style main menu opened after selecting company)

    First: it´s working now. :) I don´t know exactly why, but it´s working.

    What I´ve done is:
      Deinstalled Navision 4 Downloaded and installed Navision 4.0 SP1 Minimal Created a new database with Navision on the SQL-Server and imported the demo-file Opened it and it works.
    I think, that I didn´t anything else at the first try with Navision 4 without SP1 ... :-k
